How to Make a Peppermint Serving Tray Guarenteed to Wow Your Guests

Starlight mints are probably everyone's favorite candy (said no one ever).

I don't know about you, but I really don't know anyone besides my doctor's office and Grandma that ever purchased these to just eat. If I want peppermint at Christmas time I buy candy canes. ANYWAY, something I didn't know you can do with Starlight mints is MELT them into COOL serving trays. Read below how you can easily make this yourself!

What you'll need to buy:
  • 2 bags of starlight mints. I find the generic ones are cracked and full of smashed mint powder. I used generic and couldn't use a lot of them as they were cracked.
  • Hot glue gun
  • Festive ribbon and decorations
  • Short candle stick of your choice from a thrift store
  • Wax paper
  • Non-stick circle pie or cake pan
All you do then is unwrap the mints and place them on the pan in the shape of your desire. Make sure to lay down a piece of wax paper so the mints do not stick to the pan. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Make sure to pay attention to the mints as you don't want them to over melt or burn. Mints will melt and stick to each other. I then hot glued the glass candle stick to the bottom of the tray as well as glued festive ribbon and wreaths around the edges.

Now go and get yourself some mints!
