A Few of My Favorite Key Holiday Pieces

Three looks that will keep you sparkling all the way into the future--2015.

The holidays are a time to go for it fashionably speaking. If you like glitter, wear all glitter. If you want to rock that tacky Christmas sweater to work, why not? My favorite "holiday" look from this year was something on the more causal side that I felt you could still wear to work but it was dressy enough to get drinks with friends (at least in Chicago it is!)

#1 This year I was enamored with a faux fur vest from Banana Republic. Honestly it's so soft you can't tell the difference. It sold out pretty fast but you can find a similar one here. I paired with with a sparkle scoop neck, a-line dress from Maison Jules, in the fitting "wine tasting" color, a glitzy pearl necklace also from Banana (similar here) and this beautiful handmade peacock clip I received from a special friend of mine (similar here).

Bow Belt: Target
Boots: Franco Sarto Dotty

#2 If you're looking for a more traditional look, I purchased a red bow dress off of eBay for only $20 (free shipping!) and it was new with tags. I had to get it shortened as it went to my ankles, but the end result was fantastic. My inspiration was this below $400 Kate Spade dress from Rent the Runway. I couldn't get myself to spend almost $100 to RENT something I could not keep so I turned to eBay to find a copy cat.

What's not to love?? Anyway, I thought my dress was pretty on-par and I couldn't beat the $20 price tag.

I dressed it up with some vintage 1950s glitter pumps that I only wear at Christmas time and a Kenneth Jay Lane pave pearl necklace from Neiman Marcus Last Call (only the best factory store outlet site!)-which both cost more than the dress which I LOVE.

#3 My last look is more geared toward a night out on the town for NYE. I found this FABULOUS beaded, rhinestone, pearl jacket at a thrift store a few months back and have been saving it for the right occasion. My guess it's 1980s--it's just so cool in my book. I paired with simple black top and pants as the jacket is doing most of the talking and a pair of gold glitter block heels from Anthropology earlier this year (Here they are on Poshmark). I got them clearance for $30 and to this date, they are one of my favorite pair of shoes.
DIY Fringe Bag I made a few months ago :)

Which look is your favorite?!
